GCD operates
12 centers, 8 in Greensboro, 4 in High Point.
Greensboro Centers and the communities they serve are
McElveen serving Northeast Greensboro; Metropolitan serving
the Benbow Park area; Shiloh serving the Hampton Homes
neighborhood; Ray Warren serving the Ray Warren Housing
Community; Council House serving the Smith Homes Housing
Community; PCC serving Woodmere Park and Claremont Housing
area; Poplar Grove serving Browns Summit, McLeansville
and Gibsonville. High Point Centers include Staley serving
East High Point; Hickory Chapel Woods serving North East
High Point and Macedonia serving the Macedonia community.
GCD recently began operating an additional
center, Willow Oaks, in Greensboro, serving the Willow
Oaks neighborhood (formerly Monringside Homes). GCD operates four of only seven centers
in Guilford County accredited by the National Association
for the Education of Young Children. |
